Lymington 10K for little Lahna

Staff at Lymington New Forest Hospital ran the Lymington 10K for Lahna Tula Appeal* on 12 May.

The 7th May marked Lahna’s 10 year anniversary of when she sadly passed away, aged 6 months, from a complication of two common viruses.

Both her parents worked for Southern Health NHS Trust at the time she died and the staff are always eager to pull together and help.

Lead by Chris Brown, aka The Big Ginge, he adorned his massive wig and got a team together to join him. Lance Beatty, Lahna’s dad also ran the race after having a heart attack only 10 months ago. Lahna’s siblings, Ané and Miles Beatty, also ran the junior races on the day for their sister.

The team raised just under £1,000 for the charity which is edging them closer to their £100,000 target which they hope to reach in 2019!

*The Lahna Tula Appeal is a fund of Southampton Children's Hospital Charity.
