Gift us a virtual Easter egg

The best gift you can give Southampton Hospital Charity this Easter is a donation.

This year we are asking people to consider donating the cost of an Easter egg instead of chocolate.

“The gesture is incredible and it’s lovely that the public think about our patients in hospital over the Easter period, and that’s exactly what we want to encourage. But the reality of the situation is that we just get so much chocolate that we can’t use it all.”

“If the equivalent monetary value was donated to the charity, we’d be able to do so much more and put in place experiences, equipment and entertainment for our Southampton Children’s Hospital patients that would really last. This kind of distraction can make a massive difference to their treatment and recovery.” - Judith Stephens, Community and events fundraising manager.

Many of our children will be nil by mouth for treatment, or are unable to eat chocolate, so donations mean we can use your gift to buy distraction materials, or to send our children to special events to create a memory that could last a lifetime.

  • £2 could buy craft packs or a painting activity for one child.
  • £10 an individual board game.
  • £50 could fund two children’s places on the Easter mad hatters tea party.
  • £100 could buy a stomp music activity session for five children.
