£16,000 raised from golf day

Sixteen teams of golfers enjoyed the Southampton Charity golf day last week, helping to raise over £16,000 for charity.

Golfers started the day with breakfast in the clubhouse, before taking to the course at Stoneham Golf Club to enjoy a round of golf.

Guests also enjoyed a question and answer session with Saints legends Matt Le Tissier and Kelvin Davis.

The funds raised will support Saints Foundation’s work within the local community, as well as helping with the creation of a state-of-the-art Children’s Emergency and Trauma Department, through the work of Southampton Hospital Charity and The Murray Parish Trust.

Charlie Otter, Major Donor Fundraising Manager, comments: “It was a fantastic day for all of the charities involved, and all of our golfers had a great day around the course. The event culminated in the unique opportunity to ask both Matt Le Tissier and Kelvin Davis which everyone enjoyed.”

We still have £600,000 to raise for our Children’s Emergency and Trauma Department Appeal, so please support us today!
