Rolls-Royce donates to our young Southampton patients this Christmas
Southampton Hospitals Charity would like to thank Rolls-Royce for their generous donation to the Children's Outpatients ward at Southampton Hospital.
Senior Sister, Olivia Scutt, said: “It is never fun to be in hospital, so this donation will make the world of difference to the children visiting our ward. We are really grateful to the team at Rolls-Royce for their generosity in donating these gifts to our young patients”.
She continued, “It’s a wonderful gesture and something that will put huge smiles on the faces of many children who are visiting us for tests and investigations over the Christmas season. Children's outpatients are very grateful for the donation as they are not always the 'top' thought about ward, as children are not staying on the ward only visiting.”
In total around 50 toys were donated to the ward and included cuddly toys, footballs, and board games, including - of course - children’s favourite, Operation!
Natasha Sadler, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: “We are proud to be associated with the hospital and to help out at this festive period. Children will benefit from the toys every day in the waiting area and they will offer a welcome distraction.”
If you would like to donate please contact the Southampton Hospitals Charity on 023 8120 8881.
