Merry Christmas from the charity team
'Twas the week before Christmas, and all through the hospital,
Not a person was stirring, which was fairly impossible;
The stockings were hung for the neonatal’s with care,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon arrive there.
The children were bouncing off ceilings and walls
And forgot they were ill while hanging baubles;
With holiday jumpers and presents from schools,
The nurses looked festive enforcing the rules.
When out on the helipad there arose such a clatter,
The emergency team sprang into action to see what was the matter.
Away to the window the patients flew in a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
Everyone let up a gigantic cheer,
As Santa and his reindeer were here;
And in that moment of clarity,
They thoughtfully donated to charity.
Merry Christmas from everyone at Southampton Hospital Charity!
