Shining Stars Carol Service celebrations
Thank you to everyone who came along to our Shining Stars Carol Service last week.
I am sure you will agree it was a lovely evening, with beautiful readings by patients and some of our fundraisers.
Thanks to the Ordnance Survey choir, Simply Singers, and Fairisle School choir for their Christmas renditions of festive carols. The mince pies and mulled wine were certainly winter warmers afterwards to forget about the pouring rain!
Out on display for the evening were our Shining Star dedications books which housed all of the dedications made this year. A few messages can be found below, but the full dedications can be found here.
Sylvia Clarke: My darling husband Gerald, no longer with us, but received wonderful care from the Stroke Unit staff, thank you.
Mavis Rabbetts: To the charity team, have a nice Christmas and New Year, God Bless.
Rita Hale: Our lovely son, Mark Hale who left us in July 2014. We love and miss you so much. Rest in Peace.
Sheila Horsead: Dr Crabb and all staff in oncology level C for the kindness and care provided to Mike Horsead.
Tracey Jennings: Pat Stedman - my beautiful mum. We'll miss you so much, this is our first Christmas without you. Love always.
Andrew Richardson: All Doctors, Nurses and other staff at SGH. Thank you from the Richardson and Pearce families.
Our thanks to Laura Mckain for the photos of the evening.
