Urology unit cycling for Southampton patients
Thirteen staff from the Urology Day Unit at Southampton General Hospital are taking on the gruelling 54 mile London to Brighton bike ride in September.
These dedicated NHS staff will be putting the pedal to the metal to raise money for Southampton Hospital Charity.
Clare Tull, Sister, comments: “The Urology service admits around 1,200 urological emergencies every year.
Our Urology Day Unit is an integral hub of urology knowledge providing a multi professional approach bringing care closer to the patients for treatment and investigations.
We want to raise around £1,500 so we can improve the patient environment.
We see patients with urological problems from right across the central south coast area including Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Dorset and the Falkland Islands. Our experienced, happy and dedicated team offer support to our patients on a daily basis, and make them feel at ease during, what can be, embarrassing investigations.
Please sponsor us at www.virginmoneygiving.com/urologettes or text UDUU54 £5 to 70070.”
