Taking on the Sahara desert...
We want to wish good luck to Tracy Wayman who is taking on the Sahara desert next week.
She says: “I will be trekking just over 100km (60ish miles) over five days. This might sound a bit tough, but now throw the Sahara Desert in the mix and whoa, i’ve got myself a massive challenge!
This will be a trial, a very big one, and it follows the challenge I faced when my Dad died.
I was helped so much by the unforgettable staff and facilities at Southampton General Hospital and, in particular, the Neurology Intensive Care Unit.
By raising as much money as I can for this amazing charity, I am saying ‘thank you’ to the support and care given, to both my Dad and our family, by everyone involved. The funds raised will help the support and care for a family like us that will, unfortunately, be in the same situation as we were back in 2002.
Thank you for your support, it really means a lot to me.”
Tracy has currently raised £2,760 but would like to get to £3,000 by the time she gets to the airport this Saturday 14 March.
We hope you will support her here: https://www.justgiving.com/TracyWayman/
